Delete an Instagram Account This wikiHow teaches you a way to completely delete your Instagram account. Once your account is deleted, your snap shots, films, followers, and all other account information could be long past for all time, and you’ll no longer be capable of use the equal username again. Alternatively, if you don’t need to delete your pics, you can deactivate your Instagram account rather.
Delete an Instagram AccountEditOn Mobile
1.Open Instagram. It’s the multicolored app that resembles a camera lens. If you’re already logged into Instagram, doing this will take you to the home page
2.Tap or your profile picture. It’s in the bottom-right corner of the screen. This will take you to your profile page.
3.Tap the three horizontal bars at the top right (☰). Then hit the gear icon (iPhone) or tap ⋮ (Android) at the bottom of the page. This will take you to Instagram’s settings page.
4.Scroll down and tap Instagram Help Center. It’s near the bottom of the page under the Support heading
5.Tap Managing Your Account. It’s the second option near the top of the page
6.Tap Delete Your Account. It’s the second option on the page.
7.Tap next to “How do I delete my account?” This will expand a page with more information.
8.Tap “the Delete Your Account page” highlighted in blue. This is in section 1 of the steps to permanently delete your account.
9.Log in to your Instagram account. Enter your username (or email address) and password, then tap Log in
10.Select the reason you want to delete your account. Tap the drop-menu and select the reason you are deleting your account.
- If you don’t want to state a reason, select Something else
11.Re-enter your password. Put your password in the text field one more time to confirm you want to permanently delete your account.
12.Tap Permanently delete my account. This will open a pop-up window prompting you to confirm.
13.Tap OK . Your account has been permanently deleted.

1.Go to https://help.instagram.com in a web browser.
- Be aware that deleting your Instagram account is permanent. Once completed, you won’t be able to access your username or any photos or videos from your account again.
2.Click Managing Your Account.
3.Click Delete Your Account. It’s the second option on the page.
4.Click next to “How do I delete my account?” This will expand a page with more information.
5.Click on “Delete Your Account page” highlighted in blue. This is in section 1 of the steps to permanently delete your account.
6.Log in to your Instagram account. Enter your username (or email address) and password, then tap Log in.
